| 08-07-2002 McFarlane & Reed have Mixed Days Overseas. | |||
Andrew McFarlane was riding the race of his life lastnihgt, contesting the GP of Sweden, working his way up to second behind Frenchman and current 250cc World Champ, Mickael Pichon but had to retire from the race due to mechanical difficulties. Finally some success for wild man of MX, Kim Ashkenazi, now riding in the quatre litre class on a Yamaha. He managed to qualify and finished 19th. Well done Ashcan. Trouble dogged Chad Reeds weekend also. He won the first moto at Red Bud, but crashed in the second moto, but had difficulty restarting his bike. He still sits in second place in points, 27 points behind Bubba Stewart who leeds the AMA 125cc Championship. Again. RC dominated the 250cc class, with Lusk the second most consistent rider on the day. |

Digs was having discussions just before Dorron injured himself , an injury that has Dorron on the sidelines for the rest of the year. | 29-06-2002 Motocross Des Nations Team Announced. | ||
|
If you thought 2001 was going to be Australia's year at the MXDN, then look out 2002. We have probably the most seasoned line up of riders for as long as I have remembered. All of these guy's have ridden successfully overseas and the way I see it, we have got a decent chance of winning it. Craig Anderson, Michael Byrne, Chad Reed and Andrew McFarlane are the men in charge this year, so check out the full story on the MA site below. |
